Rise Like Lions - Version 2

Spray paint on wood using hand cut stencils made from hand drawn drawings. This painting is one of 2 made using this stencil. this one has a dark blue background. The dimensions are 64cm x 88cm.

This quote is from my (only) favourite Shelley poem called the Masque of Anarchy which he wrote in response to the Peterloo massacre. 200 years on and it's still just as relevant as ever which is a bit disappointing. The roses symbolise social justice. Or the hope of it anyway.
